We know the Dunn family and Nunn family intermarried.

For those interested in Nunn history, I have brought together a number of references to Herbert John Nunn from the British Parliamentary Papers covering the troubled period of the Zulu Civil War. They include his own letters and reports, as well as contemporary correspondence in which he is mentioned.

Rather than interpret the material, I have largely left the original documents to speak for themselves. They offer a fascinating glimpse of Herbert's role as adviser and representative to Hamu during an extraordinarily difficult period.

I hope these primary sources will be of interest to Nunn descendants and perhaps help fill in a little more of the family's history.
